Hi. I'm Ettaline
I’m a Nutritional Therapist and Health Coach, specialising in bone health. I work with women and men who have osteoporosis or osteopenia.
My passion is to help you take control of your bone health by sharing information and tools with you and by providing personal support. Having received a diagnosis of osteoporosis and osteopenia myself, I really understand the conflicting emotions that come with it. Fear, a bit of initial panic, relief that at least I know, and the crucial question – 'What can I do to help my bones?'
So, I took a few deep breaths and I got stuck into researching this condition
I quickly realised that dealing with bone issues isn't about wrapping ourselves in cotton wool and constant fear of fractures, but neither is it ignoring the diagnosis.
Our body has changed and so what we fuel it with and how we look after it has to change as well. There is so much we can do ourselves to impact our bones, we are not powerless, and we can make a difference. What is different about how I work is that I combine health coaching, nutritional advice and guidance on lifestyle to support stress management. These can all help give you motivation to put realistic changes into practice.
It's important to me that you want to take control and make changes.
Together, we can work out what your goals are and the best way for you to achieve them. I work with you to develop a plan that is individualised to you and your needs, likes and dislikes.
Qualifications & Affiliations
I qualified in nutritional therapy with the College of Naturopathic Medicine. I'm registered with the Association of Naturopathic Practitioners and the General Naturopathic Council. Nutritional therapists apply the latest ideas and research in nutrition and health sciences to you and your symptoms and we come up with a diet, lifestyle and (sometimes) supplement plan to support those needs. I also use health coaching to help you put ideas into practice.
